Position Overview
Unique Floor Supply is looking for a hands-on Purchasing & Inventory Manager to take ownership of purchasing and inventory across our Brooklyn and Queens locations.
This is an important role within our growing company. You will work closely with our warehouse, sales, and accounting teams to ensure we have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time—while maintaining accurate inventory and avoiding unnecessary overstock.
We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, analytical, and takes ownership without needing constant follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels across our Brooklyn and Queens locations
Determine replenishment needs and maintain appropriate stock levels
Create, place, and follow up on purchase orders
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and deliveries
Coordinate incoming inventory and transfers between locations
Monitor open purchase orders and resolve delays or discrepancies
Maintain accurate product costs, vendor information, and purchasing records
Identify slow-moving, overstocked, and understocked products
Assist with inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
Work closely with warehouse, sales, and accounting to keep inventory flowing efficiently
Help improve purchasing and inventory procedures as the company continues to grow
What We're Looking For
Experience in purchasing, inventory management, distribution, or a related role
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working with inventory and ERP systems
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and vendor-management skills
Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
Flooring, building materials, construction supply, or distribution experience is a plus
A college degree is not required. We value relevant experience, ability, ownership, and results.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience
